The Climatographers

[The Climatographers](https://www.climatographer.com) advise on climate risk. Dr. Mark C. Trexler [LinkedIn Profile](https://www.linkedin.com/in/marktrexler/) and Laura H. Kosloff [LinkedIn Profile](https://www.linkedin.com/in/laurakosloff/) have a combined total of 50 years of climate change experience. Mark was hired into the World Resources Institute in Washington, D.C. in 1988 to work on the first carbon offset project, and the larger mitigation topic of land use and climate change.

In 1991 Mark founded the first advisory firm in the U.S. focused on private sector climate risk assessment and mitigation. Trexler Climate + Energy Services (TC+ES) worked with firms, national and international agencies, and NGOs all over the United States, Canada, and Japan.

When TC+ES was acquired by EcoSecurities in 2007, Mark took over its Global Consulting Services Group with offices in Oxford, The Hague, and Portland, OR. The Climatographers’ Laura Kosloff became EcoSecurities’ Associate General Counsel.

In 2009 the original TC+ES team transitioned to DNVGL, a global risk management firm based in Oslo. Mark became DNVGL's Director of Climate Risk.

Mark Trexler and Laura Kosloff founded the Climatographers in 2012 to help get the right climate information to the right decision-maker at the right time to support climate change decision-making. Building the Climate Web has been a key focus of that effort, and today the Climate Web includes more than 100,00 climate information building blocks that can be customized in all kinds of fit-for-purpose ways.
